Before the US government officially released its UFO findings, officials briefed a group of pastors and warned them to prepare their congregations for future disclosures involving UFOs and extra-terrestrials, according to Bible teacher Perry Stone.

In a YouTube video shared in May 2026 with his nearly one million subscribers, the Tennessee-based pastor said a trusted pastor friend told him about a private meeting involving government representatives and church leaders. According to Stone, the pastors were allegedly told they needed to “prepare your people” for information that may soon become public involving unidentified crafts and mysterious beings “And some of it has to do with crafts that have been discovered that are not allegedly a part of our planet,” Stone claimed. “Very strange, reptilian-looking creatures and other things that almost sound like something out of a sci-fi movie. ” Stone suggested that future government disclosures about extraterrestrials could prompt non-believers to seek spiritual answers from pastors and churches. He also speculated that any future claims of alien encounters could eventually be used to explain away the biblical ‘rapture’; many Christians believe this to be a dramatic ‘snatching away’ of Christians by Jesus before final judgements rain down on the rest of unrepentant mankind. Stone also pointed to 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and warned that confusion surrounding the topic could contribute to spiritual deception and apostasy in the last days.
His comments come as US politicians and government officials have made a series of unusual public statements surrounding alleged classified information. Former Congressman Matt Gaetz has claimed a US Army official briefed him about alleged alien-human hybrid programmes involving extraterrestrials. Meanwhile, Republican Tim Burchett has repeatedly called for greater transparency regarding UFO investigations, saying some classified information would “set the earth on fire” if revealed publicly.
For Christians, discussions surrounding UFOs often spark deeper questions about spiritual warfare, deception, and the supernatural. While many pastors urge caution against speculation, others think believers should be grounded enough in Scripture to discern cultural narratives through a biblical lens. Stone acknowledged that his views may sound unusual to some audiences but noted that topics once dismissed as fringe conversations are now increasingly discussed by public officials, media personalities, and popular podcasts.
