Former school trustee Barry Neufeld has been convicted of ‘hate speech’ for asserting the biological fact that there are only two genders, and ordered to pay a massive fine of $750,000.
The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal ruled that, “if a person elects not to ‘believe’ that gender identity is separate from sex assigned at birth, then they do not ‘believe’ in trans people. This is a form of existential denial.”

LifeSiteNews reports that Neufeld had also criticised another trustee who posted explicit sexual content online, and according to the Tribunal, Neufeld had made discriminatory comments against LGBTQ teachers. He is unable to pay the fine.
Child protection activist Chris Elston posted on X: “The Tribunal has declared that all British Columbians must believe in gender identities.” He added that Neufeld will appeal to the BC Supreme Court.
British Columbia MLA Dallas Brodie wrote: “The BC Human Rights Tribunal needs to be abolished… They punish brave people like Mr Neufeld for standing against gender theory being pushed by the Government.”
