In the wake of the BBC’s Director General and Head of News resigning, followed by President Trump’s threat of a $1bn lawsuit for doctoring his 6 January 2020 speeches on a Panorama episode, I for one am not shedding any tears

This paper has, unintentionally, almost always printed news and opinions that you won’t hear on the BBC. Why? Because our world view may not be that of every churchgoer, but we like to believe we’re Bible believers. That puts us in direct opposition to the BBC’s ‘progressive’ values.
Don’t get me wrong. I used to love some of the BBC’s gentler comedies such as ‘Dad’s Army’, ‘To the Manor Born’ and ‘The Good Life’. When I was growing up, Panorama was a respected weekly documentary. Perhaps Panorama lost its reputation after broadcasting the fateful interview with Princess Diana that she was tricked into doing. Prince William still struggles to forgive the BBC over this betrayal of his late mother.
