A reminder of when Middle East peace came to Manchester – and the great, untold story of the Middle East

As the BBC comes under fresh fire over its appalling antisemitic bias, Jewish communities across the UK are still reeling in shock over the barbaric terror attack at the Manchester synagogue that left two people dead and others seriously wounded on Yom Kippur. Brilliant Daily Mail columnist Richard Littlejohn described it as “a national scandal, the first time in modern history that British Jews had been murdered simply for being Jews”.
Meanwhile, you are left wondering to what extent the disgraceful editing of reports to fit our national broadcaster’s woke agenda has contributed to the wave of anti-Israel feeling across the country. In expressing his sympathies for the synagogue attack, Sir Keir Starmer’s words will have rung hollow with those who have accused him of rewarding terrorism by recognising a Palestinian state. Indeed, the Prime Minister had just been reminded, by British-Israeli rabbi Leo Dee at the Labour Party conference, that it was Hamas who killed his wife and two daughters in Israel only six months before the 7 October 2023 massacre.
